Lara’s story is a heartbreaking one. Left alone and tied to a tree in a forest near Nafplion, Greece, Lara, a pregnant Pit Bull mix, was abandoned by her owner to die. Despite her difficult circumstances, Lara refused to give up on her unborn puppies and miraculously gave birth to four healthy pups.
For ten days, Lara and her puppies struggled to survive in the cold forest without food, water, or shelter. But Lara, a true hero, did everything in her power to keep her babies alive.
Luckily, some nearby villagers came across the struggling family and alerted rescuers, who quickly arrived at the scene. Although one of the puppies didn’t survive, the remaining three, as well as their courageous mother, were rescued and taken to safety.
Thanks to the love and care of the rescuers, Lara and her puppies are now recovering and doing well. They’re full of energy and love, and it’s clear that they’re thriving in their new environment.
It’s a shame that Lara’s original owner treated her and her puppies so cruelly. However, we can take comfort in knowing that there are people out there who are willing to go to great lengths to save animals in need.
Lara’s story is a reminder that even in the darkest of situations, there is still hope. And with the help of kind and caring individuals, even the most vulnerable animals can find a happy ending.
