Friday September 6, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Lucy argues with her parents about her punishment, Faith informs Nick that Sharon has been talking to Cameron, and Diane confides in Jack that their son may never forgive her.
Thursday’s recap: Chance demands to be made co-CEO with Billy or he’ll walk, Nikki and Victor discuss how to deal with Lily, and Kyle asks Claire out.

Nick and Sharon bring Faith home from the hospital. They fuss over her and reassure her that this is not her fault.

Victor and Nikki arrive, pleased to see Faith back where she belongs.

Sharon leaps up, yelping that she forgot her purse at the hospital and running out.
On the porch, Cameron tells Sharon he knows where she’s going. They know who is responsible.

Back inside, Faith recaps the accident to her grandparents. “For heaven’s sake,” says Victor.
Nikki is concerned. Faith remembers when she was drinking and stole a truck so she’s not too judgy.

Once she goes off to rest, Victor says she looks alright after what she’s been through. Nick says they dodged a bullet.
Nikki is sure this brought back terrible memories for Sharon. Nick says it did at the beginning.
His mom has noticed how fragile Sharon is. Victor is concerned too. They’ve both noticed his staring at his ex.

Nick thinks it’s just an issue with her meds. His dad worries he will get dragged into her ups and downs.
Nick reminds him that he will do anything for his kids.

His parents agree not to worry if he tells them not to and leave.
On the way, Victor suggests he work from home for a few days and be cool.

Faith returns, unable to sleep. They worry about Sharon losing it.

Nick urges his daughter to focus on herself. She feels like a magnet for this kind of stuff.
He tells her it’s not on her.

She worries that the stress is too much for her mom. She’s not getting better. She’s even heard her talking to Cameron.

That’s news to Nick, who is eager to hear more. She’s had dreams about Cameron too but didn’t want him to worry.
At home, Lucy begs her parents to let her go in for her driver’s license. They refuse.
CBS
She worries she will be stuck there with no freedom. That’s the plan.
They also want her to write a letter of apology. She thinks that’s sappy and flounces off.

The parents tell themselves the won’t back down.
CBS
Sharon shows up. They tells her about all the punishments they have given their daughter, which are more than the law would have.

This all sounds like a slap on the wrist to Sharon.
Heather says it was just a stupid mistake. Does she want them to tie her in chains?
Sharon declares this too lenient and reminds them of how badly this could have gone.
CBS
Heather knows what happened to Cassie was tragic, but he was a teenage boy. Sharon blames them for all that’s happened.
They have failed to punish their daughter. That’s when she snuck out.
The lawyer apologizes for that and points out the girls have come through this.
Daniel says that they have punished their daughter as they see fit. Sharon orders them to keep their daughter away from hers.
CBS
Heather points out they aren’t having playdates and she doesn’t need to be issuing orders. Faith will be gone soon and this will fizzle out.
CBS
Sharon suggests Lucy is practically stalking Faith. She repeats that Lucy needs to stay away from her daughter.
That’s clear to them. She storms out.
The parents think that was nuts. Heather thinks she’s unhinged.
CBS
He thinks it runs so deep with Sharon they just need to keep their distance.
She suggests they go to Lisbon. He thinks taking Lucy on a trip would seem like a reward.
CBS
Heather admits Sharon was right that their daughter is fixated on Faith.
Returning, Lucy overhears them discussing this and complains. Her father orders her to dial back the attitude.
She apologizes and hates that she’s caused all this. They know she’s sorry but she needs to learn from her mistakes.
CBS
He suggests they have a family night and talk.
As Sharon waits for the elevator, Cameron tells her she did well but he was expecting more fireworks.
CBS
He points out Heather questioned her rights as a mother. “That bitch!” Sharon complains. She’s livid.
When Sharon gets home, her daughter asks if they can go out. Her mom reminds her she just got out of the hospital.
CBS
She feels fine and wants empanadas. Nick doesn’t see the harm.
Sharon, Nick, and Faith go to Society. Sharon is acting weird and Cameron keeps staring at her.
CBS
Heather, Daniel and Lucy walk in. They spot Sharon and stop.
Daniel insists it will be fine and marches them over for small talk.
CBS
When Lucy asks to speak to Faith alone, Sharon forbids it and orders her daughter to leave with her, dragging her out.
Nick apologizes to Daniel and his family.
At the Abbott estate, Kyle tells Claire he’s glad they can be the movie-going type of friends.
CBS
Jack walks in. His son suggests he ask Claire to leave if things are about to get ugly.
CBS
Once Jack walks out, Kyle vents about running into his parents. That’s why he wants to get out of there fast.
He still has some much anger and resentment. He complains about his mom firing him and his dad thinking he’s an entitled brat.
CBS
Claire suggests his parents feel abandoned by him. He says that’s what he’s doing. She doesn’t see how that’s going to resolve anything,
Her aunt was eaten alive by resentment. Kyle doesn’t intend to let that happen.
She worries the resentment could take over his whole life. He’s not sure how to stop it.
CBS
They sit and he admits that he’s sad about how everything has turned out. It’s nice to be able to talk to someone.
Growing up without a family taught her how important it is.
Jack eavesdrops as Kyle admits how much he misses his dad. He was his hero. He can’t tell him how he feels.
Kyle would be happy to put it behind him if his father apologized.
Jack steps out and apologizes. He asks Claire to give them a minute alone.

Once she’s gone, Jack tells his son how much he misses him. He tells him he’s sorry.
Kyle appreciates it. His father has hated all the anger and distance and will take some of the blame.
CBS
His son thinks he deserves all of it. Would he even have apologized if he hasn’t heard him talking to Claire?
His father says he’s tried repeatedly to apologize and end this cold war.
They bicker and Jack tells him they can’t talk anymore. Kyle thinks his dad is clueless and storms off.
CBS
Diane arrives. Her husband recaps what just happened. It hurts.
She says they can’t win with him. Jack doesn’t know what else they can do.
CBS
Diane points out that Kyle doesn’t miss her. He urges her not to take this to heart but she’s sure she’s at the center of their son’s anger.
He tries to stop her from saying that but she knows this is about her ruining his life. Now she’s ruining Jack’s life too.
She wonders if she caused more damage coming back than leaving Kyle in the first place.

Kyle and Claire go to the park with Harrison. They wonder if the kid will ever grow out of his obsession with caterpillars.
CBS
They sit and she asks how things went with his father. He complains the apology felt forced.
She suggests he just wasn’t ready for it. He doesn’t know what to do but she’s sure there is a way to heal this.

“It feels wrong,” says Mariah.

“I know, but we need the truth. we need to know if your mom is on her meds or not,” Nick says.
“Let me just warn you: You walk through this door right here, there’s no coming back. You hear me? So what’s it gonna be?” Billy asks Chance.

“So what do you have for me?” Victor asks Lily.
CBS
“I have the key to what I believe is Billy’s downfall,” Lily announces.
