The Triangle That Refuses to Form
Gabi is married to Stefan. While Gabi was in prison, Stefan had a fling with Ava.
When Gabi found out, she was so angry that she ended up sleeping with EJ. It seems like this should be a love triangle—or even a square.
However, Ava isn’t interested in Stefan. Their fling was a spontaneous bad choice, partly because Stefan reminds her of Jake, his deceased twin.
As for Stefan, he was simply lonely while Gabi was away. Neither of them is looking for a relationship, which is why Ava tries to convince Gabi to forgive and move on.
As for EJ, he doesn’t want Gabi either, but he enjoys teasing Stefan. Stefan might pretend that Gabi’s affair with EJ has permanently turned him against his wife, but we all know that’s not true—including EJ.
Paulina’s Shriek Strategy
Paulina believes that yelling gets her whatever she wants. And you can’t really fault her for it, because her experience backs it up.
She shouts, and suddenly there’s a snow plow to rescue her child from a storm.
She panics, and Abraham gives in to her demands.
She raises her voice, and her daughters quickly forgive her, her employees scramble to comply, and even her health issues seem to resolve.
So it’s no surprise that Paulina thinks she can yell Rafe back to consciousness.
What could be more effective than standing over a comatose person and shouting for them to wake up?
Even better if it’s an employee—ordering them to wake up should do the trick.
Perhaps Paulina will next instruct Jada to act on her suspicions about Connie. That might actually lead to something productive.
