Thursday September 12, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Jack encourages Diane to stay optimistic about Kyle, Kyle and Claire enjoy some time together, and Lily provides Victor with the information he seeks.
Wednesday’s recap: Sharon decides she wants Daniel dea.d, while Phyllis urges Nick to have Sharon committed.

Jack and Diane are at Society discussing the latest deal, but Diane is preoccupied with thoughts about Kyle.
CBS
He hopes she’s not feeling as hopeless as she did yesterday. Diane admits she’s still upset.
He reassures her that she’s being too hard on herself, noting how quickly she regained their son’s trust.
CBS
Jack urges her to be patient. Where there is love, there is hope.
Diane tells him how much she loves the life they share, but it’s hard to feel joy knowing their son thinks it’s come at his expense.
Jack takes some of the blame for all that’s happened and tells her how much he hates to see her struggle like this.

Kyle and Audra sit at Crimson Lights debating how to allocate funding.
CBS
Claire walks in and he stares over at her, smiling. Audra raises an eyebrow and declares she’s done with Kyle.
She leaves to meet their investor and tells them to have fun.
CBS
Claire guesses Audra still doesn’t like her. Kyle asks her to sit with him.
She tells him the latest cute thing that Harrison did.
CBS
He gets her an iced mocha and suggests they go for a walk.
When Kyle and Claire get to the park, she says Harrison got his smile.
He announces that he and Summer have settled custody.
CBS
She knew he could do it. He admires her optimism.
When she brings up his issues with his parents, he doesn’t want to discuss it. She does.
CBS
Claire hasn’t given up on trying to make things better for him.
When they head over to Society, the run into his parents.
CBS
Kyle tries to walk out, but Claire keeps him there and asks his parents if they can sit and talk.

Chelsea approaches Billy at the GCAC.
He tells her that he’s been focused on work.
CBS
She’s hoping they can talk.
They sit and he tells her how preoccupied he’s been.
She can understand why he hasn’t been coming to her about it.
CBS
She believes in him. He says she’s probably the only one.
Chelsea knows he wants time to consider their future but Connor has noticed he’s not been around.
Billy says that things are different this time. She tells him how much it hurts.
He’s been so gentle and loving to her and she doesn’t deserve it.
CBS
Billy thinks she deserves everything to be gentle after how hard her life has been. He can’t deny that he’s angry.
She thanks him for helping her heal and reminding her that she matters.
Billy says nothing has mattered more to him than that.
“But you can’t be part of my life anymore?” she asks.
He’d like to put his feelings aside… but it was Adam. She says she can blame him if he wants, but she did it too.
Everything in her is screaming to beg for another chance, but she knows she hurt him and that may never heal.
Billy wishes he could get over this. He urges her to focus on her family. Connor needs to come first and she needs to be there for him.
CBS
They hold hands and hold back the tears.
She says he’s the kindest man she’s ever known.

Chelsea worries about Connor and how fragile he is.
Any change could make his OCD flare up.
CBS
Billy offers to talk to him so he knows this isn’t his fault.
Billy gets Chelsea to bring Connor to meet with him at Crimson Lights.
CBS
She leaves them alone. Billy tells the kid how protective his mom is of him. That’s what parents do.
He tells Connor that his mom wasn’t gentle with him the way Chelsea is.
They talk about all the things that Chelsea does to keep him happy.
CBS
Billy assures him that they have not split up because of him. He did nothing wrong.
He claims he’s too selfish for Chelsea and needs to focus on work.
He doesn’t have time to love her.
CBS
Billy tells him he’s a great kid and hey will always be family. He tells him how brave he is.
Connor knows they won’t be hanging out but is glad they are family.
Billy asks him to be gentle with his mom and assures him he will never stop caring about him.
Billy gives him a hug and Connor goes off to find his mom.
CBS
Sally comes out after watching this.
She can see his heart is broken.
CBS
“So is yours,” he points out. They decide to get out of there.
Billy and Sally go to the park and stare into space.
CBS
Lily joins Victor in his office and tells him that the information she has will make him want to move fast.
CBS
She fills him in on Chance being out at Chancellor. Lily adds the deal Billy is making is terrible for the company.
They have to force him out before he does irreparable damage.
Lily won’t tell him the name of the company Billy is trying to buy until he gives her assurances she will be CEO.
Victor agrees. She thinks that’s great and tells him the company is Odyssey 7.

Victoria walks in and looks at them and wonders what this is all about.

Her father explains Lily has come to them for help stripping Billy of his position to save Chancellor.
Lily insists this isn’t about revenge and Victoria admits that Billy tends to undermine himself.
Victor can understand his daughter being conflicted about the father of her children.
Lily understands that too and thinks they are all trying to save Billy from himself.
CBS
Victor tells Lily how much she reminds him of her father.
Once Lily leaves, Victoria says she doesn’t like this plan.
Cole shows up, fresh from Oxford and asks Victoria out for lunch.
As she goes to get her bag, Victor asks for a word with him.
CBS
He reminds Cole that he doesn’t trust him or like him around his daughter.
They rehash what happened with Jordan.
Cole asks if he really thinks he can order him to stay way. “I just did,” says Victor.
CBS
Once he’s alone, Audra arrives and sees Victor’s not in a great mood.
CBS
He knows she told someone about his investment in Glissade.
Once you lose his trust, it’s nearly impossible to regain it.
She tries to cover but he knows she told Nate. He doesn’t trust or Nate.
CBS
She declares she trusts Nate more than Kyle.
Audra insists she needs freedom to trust who she wants.
Audra insists she can accomplish all he wants if she let her do what she does best.
She assumes Kyle told on her.
CBS
He still doesn’t trust her and asks her to leave.
When Cole and Victoria get at table at the GCAC, he guesses her father has done something to upset her.
CBS
She fills him in on her father pulling Lily into his scheme to oust Billy.
Victoria has already considered telling Billy about all this.
CBS
He tells her about her father trying to warn him away from her. He’s not afraid of Victor.
It makes their romance exciting. “Is that what this is?” she asks.
He explains that his writing used to give him a jolt of energy in the morning, now it is her.
CBS
She admits how much she missed him when he left to get his things. This is about more than Claire.
He’s the person she wants to share things with. She’s that to him too. Every day, he’s reminded of what he adores about her.
She wants him to show her what he means.
CBS
Cole and Victoria go to his room and get in bed.
