Thursday September 19, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Mariah chooses to verify her mom’s story, while Phyllis and Billy speculate about Lily’s plot, and Devon asks his sister to clarify her plan.
Wednesday’s recap: Phyllis and Billy Suspect Lily Betrayed Him, While Victor Tells Cole He’s Not Good Enough for Victoria.

Nick and Mariah meet Faith at Society. She explains that she stayed up waiting for her mom but fell asleep, and now her mom is gone. It seems she left for a business trip to Madison.

She texted her mom, telling her not to hurry back, and now she worries it might have been a mistake. Mariah advises her not to start blaming herself.
They fear their mom has figured things out and skipped town to avoid them. Mariah then gets a text from her mom, explaining why she left.
Nick thinks it almost sounds believable, and Mariah wants to believe it too. Faith suspects their mom might actually be in trouble.

Nick still has suspicions and is afraid she may have used this trip as an excuse to run.

Mariah offers to go to Madison and check on the story. She’ll claim she’s just there to help with the meeting.
Once she leaves, he reminds her of when she tried camping in the yard and only lasted twenty minutes because of an owl.
Sharon joined her and taught her to be brave with her.
CBS
Nick says there family is strong and Sharon is the strongest of all of them.
Sharon is in a motel with Sharon and criticizing her lousy cover story. Her family won’t believe it and easily find out she lied about going to Madison. What will happen then?
CBS
She explains that she did a virtual check in at the hotel so they will think she’s there if they check.
He asks what she will do if they check on the meeting she was suppose to attend. Sharon protests she did the best she could.
CBS
Mariah starts calling. She sends it to voicemail. He mocks her for doing that.
Cameron says she’s not doing herself any favors unless she’s trying to get caught. It’s like she’s intentionally making bad choices so Nick will ride in to rescue her.
CBS
She insists that’s not what she wants but he doubts that. She’s starting to think this is all a disaster. She’s talking to a dead man.
“Maybe I do need to be put away?” she blurts.
CBS
She doesn’t want to be crazy and wants him gone. He says she doesn’t. It’s time to start the real work.
He tells her that her “sanity” was just a sad, boring life and now she knows what she wants and what she has to do to get it.
All he wants is for her to be happy and get her to stop doubting herself. Her family is not her salvation, just a reward.
CBS
To get that reward, she needs to right a wrong. Then she can have Nick. He’ll be drawn to her power and realize he shouldn’t have left her.
Cameron hates Nick, and it kills him to say it, but he knows she never could have loved him like she does Nick.
His helping her with this, is his gift to her because he loves her.
CBS
A picture of her family falls from her bag. As she picks it up and looks at it, Cameron strokes her.
She says she knows what needs to be done and will do it.
CBS
Mariah goes to the hotel in Madison and knocks on her mom’s door. There’s no answer.
CBS
She calls her mom. Sharon answers and claims she’s just getting ready for the meeting.
Mariah explains she’s outside her hotel room. Sharon looks over at Cameron.
CBS
At Abbott Chancellor, Billy and Phyllis guess that Victor must be trying to sabotage his deal with Odyssey 7. Lily must have gone to him.
CBS
He rehashes his last fight with Lily and guesses she had Victor as her secret weapon then.
Phyllis says that Lily’s not as savvy as she thinks she is and guesses that Victor has set a trap and manipulated her.
CBS
Billy thinks Lily knows she can’t trust Victor. Phyllis points out she’s being emotional and that’s a weakness. It has thrown her off the long-game.
CBS
He thinks he can get Lily to slip up and says more than she should. He’s not about to let Lily and Victor take this deal from him.
Phyllis vents about Lily’s betrayal.
CBS
Lily runs into Nate and Devon at Crimson Lights. They ask if she’s still planning to take Billy to court. She’s not sure that will be necessary.
CBS
Her brother likes how confident she sounds but hopes she’s not underestimating how devious Billy can be.
She’s sure Billy’s ego will trip him up but they point out that he already outsmarted her and pushed her out.
They remind her she can come back to Winters but she refuses to let Billy burn Chancellor down.
Nate is sure she’s a genius but that’s no guarantee this will work. She gets a text from Billy, asking to meet.
CBS
She’s sure this means her plan is working. She texts back that there is nothing to say unless he’s willing to give the company back to her.
He calls and she picks up. Billy claims he knows what he’s up to and she’s making a serious mistake.
CBS
They taunt each other ne claims he’s giving her a lifeline.
CBS
She claims she has not time for this and hangs up. She tells her brother she has everything under control.
He suggests she tell them her plan so they can help.
CBS
She insists she can handle this on her own. They wish her luck.
As she heads for the door, Billy appears and stops her. She declares she will get Chancellor back and he won’t see it coming.
CBS
He can already see it and says it won’t work.
Phyllis barges in and declares she’s the company’s new COO. “Could you possibly stoop any lower?” Lily asks, laughing at Billy.
CBS
Phyllis reminds Lily that she double-crossed Lily and is just getting what she deserves. Billy says Phyllis agrees with his vision and is someone who won’t lie to his face.
Lily asks if Chance lied to his face. Billy claims he didn’t have experience.
Lily accuses him of hiring yes people and Billy defends Phyllis and her outspokenness.
“If you think you can trust Phyllis, you’re an idiot,” Lily tells him.
CBS
He brings up Odyssey 7 and accuses her of disrupting the deal with Victor’s help. She accuses him of being paranoid.
Billy respected her and thought she had integrity. She should be ashamed. He walks out.
CBS
“What he said,” Phyllis adds before exiting.
Nate and Devon walk over and ask if what he said is true. She tries to claim Billy is paranoid but they don’t buy it.
CBS
Her brother thinks throwing in with Victor is nuts. She says she needs some ruthlessness on her side.
They point out he’s not even loyal to his own family. She explains that Victor is going to reinstate her as CEO.
CBS
Nate asks if she got that in writing. Devon urges her to be careful. Lily insists she knows what she’s doing and they should respect that.
Billy and Phyllis return to teh office and she says that Lily is clearly guilty.
CBS
He agrees. He’s not a fan of her showing up for the confrontation though.
She declares she’s there for him and through the thick of it.
