There’s a sense of irony in Eric’s involvement—after all, his own past mistakes led to an unexpected romance with the widow of the person he hit.
But this is a far different scenario, and Eric wisely avoids drawing any parallels between his past and Brady’s current crisis.
At the same time, Eric is also dealing with Holly’s anger towards him, and memories of his own troubled history may be coming back to haunt him.
Holly’s Fury and Tate’s Dilemma
On the other side of the drama, Holly is furious with Tate for siding with his father’s point of view.
Holly’s own father was killed by a drunk driver, so she finds it incomprehensible that Tate would sympathize with Brady, given the circumstances.
Holly feels that Tate’s willingness to see Brady’s side of things is a betrayal, especially after what she’s been through.
While Holly is right that being drunk doesn’t excuse Brady’s actions, her anger towards Tate is starting to strain their relationship.
Yelling at Tate won’t change what happened, but it’s clear that Holly’s emotions are running high, and she’s not willing to back down.
Tate, feeling the brunt of her rage, finds solace in spending time with Sophia, and this only adds fuel to the fire.
Holly’s jealousy over Tate’s friendship with Sophia further complicates the situation, and it seems their relationship might be heading toward a breaking point.
