They’re just glad she came back. Mariah asks what she did.
Choking up, Sharon tells them that they deserve the truth.
She admits she lied to them because she was overwhelmed by them constantly checking on her.
CBS
There was so much spinning around in her head she was terrified she would lose control. “I did what I had to do!” she cries.
She hasn’t figured out what happened but at the time it felt like the right thing. That’s why she confessed…to Cassie.
She visited her grave and talked about all that’s happened since she lost her. Hearing it out loud made her take a hard look at herself.
She thought she’d learned to live with Cassie’s death, but the guilt and anger remained. Nick says she’s not to blame.
Sharon knows that intellectually, but not emotionally. That festered and she made some dark choices.
CBS
For the first time, she feels like she’s getting off a roller coaster ride. “I feel steady,” she says.
Now she knows what she has to do. Nick says that’s a positive step and he hopes she will reach out to her doctor. She already has.
Sharon promises all will settle in and go back to normal.
A phone starts to ring in her bag. It’s Heather’s. Mariah asks if that’s a new ringtone.

She tells them she’s home and will be fine. Everything they have said to her has sunk in.
They assure her their support won’t go away. She tells them she’s exhausted. Mariah gives her a hug, happy she’s home.
Once she’s gone, Nick welcomes Sharon home and hugs her before he lumbers out.

He’s sure she’s learning her lesson.
CBS
Lucy is really glad her parents got back together. Daniel feels lucky and reminds her of how proud he and her mom are of her.
They get a text from Heather.
CBS
“Your mom is not coming home,” he says. The text says she’s fine but fed up with the Sharon situation and needed to leave town for a few days.
Daniel write back, asking where she is and asking her to call.

He tells her if she wants to blame someone, blame Sharon.

But this is bizarre. Sharon has been all over the place and her family are worried about her.
CBS
Back at Sharon’s, she tells Cameron about the text that Daniel sent and worries that this could spin out and he’ll call the cops.
CBS
Cameron thinks it will blow over but she points out she went off on that family in public more than once.
He says she’s the “queen of tears on demand.” All she needs to do is turn that on and it will throw people off.
CBS

He insists the only way she will get out of this is with his help. There are things that need to be done.
She needs to make peace with killing Heather. He says there will be no peace with Daniel alive.
CBS
She suggests he might leave town and that will solve everything. Cameron says that’s not enough.
CBS
He says she deserves the peace she’s been waiting for and that means getting her hands dirty.
“You’ve already thrown the proverbial stone. Why don’t you kill two birds with it?” he suggests.
