Tuesday October 1, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge is in denial about Taylor’s condition, Will is resolute about moving back to LA, and Brooke and Steffy attempt to find common ground.
Monday’s Early B&B recap: Taylor informs Ridge that she’s dyi.ng, while Hope and Carter share a moment and remind themselves that office romances are problematic.
In the Forrester salon, Taylor repeatedly tells Ridge that she has heart failure and is dying. He insists that this is impossible and not true.

She didn’t want him to learn about it this way. Wiping away her tears, she wishes she were as strong and healthy as he believes she is.
He’s convinced she would have told him earlier if she were truly dying.

“My heart is failing Ridge. It is failing,” she says. He repeats she will be okay and all will be fixed.
She tells him things won’t be fine. Her condition is getting progressively worse and she doesn’t have long to live.

The doctor had symptoms for a long time but dismissed them as stress. Eventually she saw a doctor who told her she had heart failure.
That’s when she came home.
He says this is where she needs to be. She doesn’t want anyone else to know.
Taylor doesn’t want to be a burden and asks him to trust her to know what she needs.

Ridge can’t forget what he saw today. She makes him promise not to tell their children.
He suggests they set up meetings with a cardiologist. She doesn’t see the point.
She knows the science and accepts it.
There’s no way around this.

He thinks she’s being defeatist but she thinks she’s being realistic and being with the people who mean something to her.
Ridge urges her to talk to more doctors.
They need to do this together and he will be there for her.
If she can’t make the right decision, he will. His father did what she is doing.

He offers not to tell Steffy as long as she gets treatment. Her family needs her and so does he.
As she throws her arms around him, he tells her how important she is to him. He refuses to lose her.

In the office, Steffy and Brooke talk about how well the Bedroom line is doing and how much they want the company to be successful. Brooke adds they both love Ridge.
CBS
She thinks they should try hard to find more common ground.
Steffy reminds her that Taylor will always be part of Ridge’s life, despite the “cosmic bond” Brooke believes she has with him.
CBS
Brooke isn’t denying how Ridge loves Taylor and their family… but his life and future are with her.
Steffy assures her she’s not about to play matchmaker for her parents.
CBS
Brooke says they need to accept things as they are. Steffy is all for acceptance.
That means Brooke needs to accept how much Ridge cares about her mom.
When Brooke claims she wants Steffy’s family to be happy, Steffy finds this hard to believe. Brooke claims she’s not worried about Taylor interfering in her marriage at all.

Katie is with Will in the design office. He’s still working on transferring to a school in LA. This is his home and he thinks she needs someone looking out for her.

She thinks that’s sweet but unnecessary. He starts to worry when she implies she’s considering taking his father back.
After she makes some business calls, Will asks again if she’s thinking of reuniting with Bill.
CBS
She’s vague but admits she’s drawn to the idea of reuniting the family. He says he doesn’t need that and neither does she.
Katie hasn’t forgotten how much Bill hurt her. Her son says his dad will always love her but he can’t follow through.
CBS
“Don’t go back to him for me,” he urges.
She appreciates how much he cares but her happiness is her responsibility.
She asks him about interning at Forrester.
He says it could be cool. She’s sure it could be amazing.
CBS
His mom shows him videos and gives him a pitch about all the opportunities in the company. She goes on and on.
He assumes this is mostly about seeing him everyday.
She admits it and wants to see him thrive.
Will wants to make her proud but he’s not sure this is his gig. His mom urges him to keep an open mind. This could change his life.
