Wednesday October 2, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Diane confronts Audra about Kyle, while Daniel expresses his concerns to his mom and sister that Heather has abandoned him.
Meanwhile, Sharon attempts to act as though she’s returned to normal.
Tuesday’s recap: Audra threatens to bury Kyle, Nate receives an enigmatic message from Amy Lewis, and Victor realizes Victoria is teaming up with Billy.

In Victor’s office, Audra presents her pitch to him and expresses her regret for not having enough time to create a prototype.

She expresses her frustration that Kyle has been undermining her efforts, to which he chuckles.
Victor then points out that Kyle informed him she accidentally disclosed his position in the company to Nate.
CBS
She says that Kyle is trying to undermine and is only interested in himself, not the company.
Kyle joins them and Victor asks if he cares to defend himself against his partner’s accusations that he’s been undermining her.
CBS
He and Kyle start bickering and accuses each other of undercutting one another.
Eventually, Victor tells them to prove they are competent to run a company.
When they get back to bickering, he stops them and declares it’s clear only one of them can be in charge.

They need to prove which of them is expendable. Kyle accepts the challenge. Audra crosses her arms.
CBS
Jack joins Diane for breakfast at Society and fills her in about his abrasive encounter with Billy.
CBS
He mentions that his brother said that trouble is brewing at Newman Enterprises. That could be good for them.
He fills her in on the conflict between Victoria and her father over how to deal with Billy.
Diane reminds him that he can’t solve his brother’s problems. He needs to let him sink or swim on his own. They have enough problems to deal with.

Jack doesn’t know where her attitude is coming from.
She reminds him they have things to take care of at Jabot, like hiring Kyle’s replacement.
CBS
He worries that won’t help create peace but she doesn’t see how it can make things worse. They need to move forward.
When he accuses her of caring more about the company than their son, she’s appalled.
CBS
He walks off to take a call.
Audra walks in and Diane leaps up to corner her, asking what it will take to get her to take her claws out of Kyle.
CBS
They start trashing each other and Audra insists she has no interests in Kyle.
Audra accuses her of exploiting her situation and Diane reminds her that her career is due to sleeping with Tucker.

Jack returns and ends this. Audra walks off and watches as Jack and his wife loudly argue about their lack of trust.

Kyle heads to the Abbott estate. After spotting his mom’s laptop open, he starts digging through her new projects.

Kyle returns to Victor’s office and tells him he can prove that he is what Glissade needs and Audra is not.
CBS
He promises him a game-changing moisturizer that is in the works at Jabot. This will make them a superior company.
Victor laughs and asks what they are waiting for. Kyle will only go through with this if Audra is fired.
CBS
Moments later, Audra arrives, claiming she has intel that could thwart the competition. She saw Jack and Diane fighting and their could be turbulence at Jabot.
CBS
She’s sure that Kyle has been hiding this and will never turn his back on his parents. She adds she has no personal attachments to hold her back.
When he mentions Kyle was there, she says she can counter anything he’s offered.
Victor looks at his phone. Thanking her for her service, he fires her.
CBS
Kyle walks into Society and bumps into his parents, saying that even they can’t ruin bus day.
CBS
His mom wonders if this is about Audra. “Audra who?” he asks.
Nick stops by Sharon’s. Faith is awake and notices that her mom is sleeping in late.
CBS
Sharon comes in with a tray of food and declares that she has a lot to do today. Faith notes she seems peppy.
Waving her hands, Sharon exclaims that she’s in a great mood and pops a pill before sending her daughter off to check on the muffins.
CBS
Sharon tells Nick he’s welcome to drive her to therapy today. He agrees to that.
He admits that he called her doctor while she was gone. They were feeling helpless and he was looking for some guidance.
CBS
Her doctor didn’t say anything. Nick apologizes for the invasion of privacy.
Sharon says she would have done the same thing in his position.
Faith returns and her mom tells her they are going to therapy this morning. Sharon asks him to unstick a window.
After he and Faith file out, Cameron tells Sharon she’s doing a good job. She feels like she could lose it.

Sharon didn’t mean for this is to happen.
“It isn’t the worst thing in the world. Heather was really annoying,” he says.
She’s trying to suppress her emotions about this but worries it could backfire. “Okay Cary Jung, I’ll keep that in mind,” he says.
CBS
He reminds her that she has no choice but to keep this act up for the rest of her life.
She claims she’s not just acting. She intends to get better. Heather’s death was a wake-up call.
CBS
He advises her to be careful about how honest she is with her doctor. One word about Heather and she could be locked up.
Cameron reminds her that as long as Daniel is alive, she will not have closure. They can still fix this.
“I won’t do it,” she says.
CBS
Faith and Nick return and Sharon is ready to go.
Daniel meets with his sister and mother at Crimson Lights. They wonder if they are in for more celebrating.
CBS
He announces it’s not good news. Heather is gone.
This makes no sense to any of them. He tells them about the text claiming she was leaving town to get away from the Sharon situation.

Phyllis offers to call Heather but they both tell her not to.
Summer is sure it will blow over. Daniel gets another idea and calls Paul to check if she’s been in touch.
CBS
Returning to his family, he worries that he may have driven her away again. What is he supposed to think?
His mom begs him not to jump to any conclusions but he can’t stop wondering if she’s leaving him.
Phyllis tries to calm his worries but it’s not helping. Summer tries and urges him not to jump to conclusions.
CBS
Nick drops Sharon off and tells him how good it was to see her doctor. Everything feels right again.
When she spots Daniel, Cameron urges her to keep it together.
On the patio, after spotting Sharon, Daniel tells his mom he can’t deal with her right now. They end the meal and tell him not to worry.
He exits.
Phyllis and her daughter step in to see Nick. Sharon begins effusively apologizing to Phyllis and awkwardly laughing.

Summer and her mom take the first opportunity to leave.
CBS
Once Nick and Sharon sit down, he tells her she was gracious. She’s sure he has other things to do than drive her around.
She has stuff to catch up before heading home. He offers to help.
CBS
Mariah calls her to check in. Sharon tells her she’s feeling fine and Nick is looking out for her.
When Daniel gets to the GCAC, Paul calls him. His mom arrives and Daniel tells her that Paul confirmed Heather is not with him.
CBS
Phyllis is sure she just needs some time and there’s nothing to worry about.
He gets a call from the police. He’s bewildered by what they say.
CBS
“They think they found Heather’s body,” he tells his mother. A fisherman found the body and the fingerprints are identical to Heather’s.
They are sure this is a mistake. He refuses to let his mother go to the station with him and walks out.
CBS
Daniel goes to the morgue. They uncover Heather’s body.
