Recently, our team received a distressing report about a dog named Nika who had been abandoned in the middle of nowhere, in a terrible condition. Without any hesitation, we decided to take immediate action and rescue her.
When we arrived at the location, it was already dark outside, but we were relieved to find Nika. At first, she was scared and fought back when she saw us, but after a short chat, she calmed down a little bit. It was evident that she was in pain and had her legs broken.
Transporting Nika to the car was a challenge, but we tried our best to support her. We even booked a special appointment with our vet to give her the best possible care. Fortunately, her blood test returned good news, and we were allowed to take her home after 24 hours. Though she had no broken bones, Nika needed time to stand up.
In our shelter, Nika behaved extremely well. Her appetite improved, and she was even able to eat on her own. At first, she was scared and looked for permission to eat, but after we allowed her, she started to eat. We took her for a short walk to help her muscles, and after seven days, Nika was much better.
Her retest also returned good news, and she was on the right track. Nika was eating a lot and playing more and more. She took her first real walk after a while, and though there was still a long way to go, we were determined to help her every step of the way.
Together, we will fight for Nika’s recovery. She is a beautiful dog who deserves all the love and care in the world. Nika’s story reminds us that even in the face of adversity, there is always hope and perseverance. We will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that Nika has a happy and healthy life ahead of her.
