It happened last month while we were driving in Murcia, visiting the areas devastated by the flood, when suddenly we saw what we thought was a rabbit or hare. Upon closer inspection, we realized it was a small dog, a Yorkshire Terrier. The chase was incredible; we almost couldn’t catch her. But when we finally got hold of her, she was terrified and bit Ginés, who nearly lost a hand. The little dog also bit his finger. We picked her up and put her in a box, where she huddled in fear under the seat.

It was a nightmare to get her to the hospital. She was so scared and traumatized that she wouldn’t let anyone touch her. It took us several days to calm her down, and even then, she was still extremely fearful and mistrustful of humans. We had to perform all the necessary tests, but it was clear that she needed time to recover from her trauma before we could put her up for adoption.

Over the course of three weeks, we worked tirelessly to gain her trust little by little. We sterilized her because we couldn’t put her up for adoption intact, and we continued to shower her with love and care. It was a difficult process, but we were determined to help her heal.

Finally, three weeks later, we can say that we have a completely different dog. She went from being a terrified and fearful animal to a happy, lively companion who expresses joy, jumps when she sees us, and craves our attention and affection. She still has some insecurities, but we’re confident that with time and patience, she will overcome them.

Our little dog is in need of a forever home where she can feel safe and loved. We are reaching out to the community, asking for help to find her a loving family. She deserves a second chance at life, and we know that there is someone out there who will give her the care and attention she deserves.

Her transformation is a testament to the power of love and patience. It’s a reminder that every animal, no matter how traumatized or mistreated, has the potential to heal and thrive when given the chance. We hope that her story will inspire others to adopt animals in need and to provide them with the love and care that they deserve.

In conclusion, our little dog’s journey from fear and trauma to happiness and love is a testament to the resilience of animals and the importance of second chances. It’s a reminder that every animal deserves a loving home, and that with patience and care, we can help them overcome even the most difficult of obstacles. Let us all do our part in making the world a kinder, more compassionate place for animals.
