Desperate to find her, EJ heads to the DiMera cellar, unaware that a bomb has been planted in the secret room.
Before EJ can rescue Gabi and Melinda Trask, the bomb explodes. Though the blast is less severe than anticipated, it still creates a perilous situation.
Eventually, Jada Hunter arrives to untie Melinda, while EJ finds Gabi unconscious among the debris and carries her to safety.
Elsewhere, Stefan DiMera encounters a terrifying scene when he walks in to find a knife being held to Ava Vitali’s throat.
Although Stefan previously insulted Ava by trying to rekindle their romantic relationship, they are now forced to work together to deal with this dangerous situation.
During this tense encounter, a confession is made about a string of heinous crimes, including framing Gabi for one of them.
In a chilling twist, the criminal brags about having already handled the “Gabi problem,” further unsettling Stefan.
With Gabi and Melinda out of the way, the plan is to eliminate Stefan next, with Ava potentially becoming collateral damage.
