Tuesday September 24, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Nick and Mariah are in a heated debate about their next move, while Heather and Daniel reconcile with a kiss. Meanwhile, Faith opens up to Adam about her mom’s condition.
Monday’s recap: Adam gets aggressive with Billy, while Audra provocatively suggests Sally seek revenge by sleeping with Billy. Meanwhile, Billy turns down Victoria’s offer to buy him out.

When Nick and Mariah arrive at Society, Tessa embraces Mariah. Mariah informs them that Sharon wasn’t in Madison and had called to say she needed some time alone before taking off.

Tessa hands them a charcuterie board as Mariah recounts searching for her mom and the phone call they shared. Sharon kept weaving stories and lies, leaving them all deeply worried for her.

Mariah explains that her mom got defensive when she questioned her and she points out that Sharon clearly suspected they were trying to confront her.
Nick kicks himself for making this worse but they assure him this isn’t his fault.
CBS
He explains that he reached out to Sharon’s doctor, who was not helpful. The only thing he would recommend is calling the police if she poses a threat to herself or others.
Mariah explains her mom said she couldn’t live with people watching her. She got her to assure her she wasn’t considering self-harm.
CBS
Nick doubts that Sharon would turn to her doctor for help. The meds are failing and she’s not attending sessions.
He calls and leaves another voicemail with Sharon.
Mariah recalls her mom forbidding her tracking her down. It seemed like she knew what she was doing.
This doesn’t feel right to Nick. He’d rather risk annoying Sharon than risk losing her forever.

In the park, Faith calls her mom and leaves a message, asking her to call back. Adam sees her sobbing and asks if she’s okay.
CBS
She claims she’s fine. He asks if she’s had a fight with her mom.
He hopes that whatever is going on with her mom will be okay and offers to leave her alone.
CBS
Faith asks him about when her mom was first diagnosed as bipolar. He worries she’s sick again.
She explains that Daniel’s return has reminded her of what happened with Cassie.
CBS
Adam thought her mom had come to terms with her grief. Faith says she had but she made her dredge up all her pain again.
He says the pain never goes away and this isn’t her fault. He worries when she admits that her mom has gone missing.
CBS
Adam assures her that her mom is strong and urges her to trust her dad. If anyone can find her, it’s Nick.
Sharon wakes up in the motel as someone knocks at her door. “Cameron?” she asks. She won’t get up but the knocks continue.
CBS
She tells Cameron she killed him once and can do it again. The knocks go on and Sharon reminds herself that Cameron is only in her head.
Realizing that the knocks are real, she tells herself to leave and never come back.
When she opens the door, Daniel is standing there. He gasps, “Cassie” and then falls on her, the back of his head covered in blood.

Sharon wakes up from this dream.
CBS
She asks Cameron if he gave her that nightmare to amuse himself. He says that would mean she gave it to herself.
He knows she’s not a dumb blonde and she’s doing all of this. Clearly, she gave herself the dream to talk herself out of what she wants to do.
Sharon starts taking pills and he says they won’t fix anything.
CBS
When she points out Daniel was bleeding in her nightmare, he says only she can make her dreams come true.
He reminds her they have a plan and urges her to start living. Sharon says doing it will make her break.
CBS
She still has a family but will have no future with them if she does this. He reminds her that will only happen if she gets caught and urges her to make things right for Cassie.
After she washes her face, she sees a bag on the bed and doesn’t remember what it is.
CBS
Cameron suggests she’s been working on auto-pilot to get ready for what’s in the bag.
When she opens it, she finds poison inside. He tells her how close she is to finally being free from her pain.
CBS
She wonders if she got it for herself. He points out that would destroy her kids and they would blame themselves.
It would be cruel and selfish.
She points out what she’s planning is cruel too. She can’t even hurt Phyllis this much. It’s wrong.
He tells her the world has been out of balance since Cassie died and she needs to fix it.
CBS
Cameron offers to take care of this if she wants to go back on auto-pilot. Sharon refuses and they argue.
She admits she will hate herself forever for failing to protect Cassie. Still, she can’t do this.
He urges her to finally make things right and get justice for Cassie.
CBS
At home, Daniel hands Heather some tea as a peace offering and tells her he’s glad she’s backed off on the idea of moving.
CBS
She still wishes they were moving but she’s willing to stay. She is willing to do whatever it takes to support his and Lucy’s insistence on staying.
They are partners and that means compromise.
CBS
They discuss their marriage falling apart before and how he’s been trying to make things up to her and Lucy.
She knows but their losing their jobs has triggered some fears. The whole mess with Sharon and how she has been shaming them has been hard.
Daniel thinks she’s going to stop acting like that soon.
CBS
He explains that they had a good talk and Sharon was apologetic. Obviously, she’s in pain but took responsibility for lashing out.
CBS
He’s not sure he deserves all the honesty she’s shown him. He still feels responsible for Cassie’s death.
She wishes Sharon would apologize to Lucy but he doesn’t think that’s a good idea. They lawyer is more than a little scared of Sharon.
Daniel doesn’t want to discuss this anymore. They hug.
CBS
She’s sorry things have been so tense. He doesn’t want her to blame herself and takes the blame.
Heather never wants to lose him again. He’s sure that they can make this an unbelievable home for all of them.
They talk about the job interviews and he asks her to join him with his mom and sister for dinner.
They kiss.
CBS
Daniel goes to Society and Nick, Tessa, and Mariah rush over to ask about Sharon.
CBS
Nick asks if she said anything about needing to go away.
CBS
“Do you guys not know where Sharon is?” Daniel asks, sensing they are worried.
He fills them in on his last talk with her and how that ended with an apology. Daniel asks them to let him know when they hear from her.
CBS
Sharon sneaks into Daniel’s apartment.
CBS
She finds a bottle of whiskey. Cameron admires his taste and then urges her to do what they came to do.
CBS
Sharon pulls out the poison.
