Marlena visited the Body & Soul office, where she found Leo and asked him to fire Hattie so she could take the role.
Leo was conflicted, but when he explained that he couldn’t terminate Hattie due to her contract, Marlena offered to work for free and provide Leo with a year of free therapy.
Standing firm, Leo refused, prompting Marlena to reveal that she was actually Hattie.
Stephanie helped Alex rehearse for his Body & Soul audition, bringing them closer. Johnny walked in on Chanel as she prepared for her audition, and later, Alex surprised them by revealing he was auditioning as her love interest.
Roman closed the pub for Labor Day, spending the day with Kate, who suggested keeping the pub closed a few days each week to use as a set for the soap.

Gabi dreamed of waking up next to Stefan, only to actually wake up beside EJ. Stefan apologized to “Abigail” for his past actions.
Later, when alone, “Abigail” called Mark to discuss their next steps.
Gabi decided not to tell Stefan about her involvement with EJ, but it was too late when Stefan walked in and caught them together on EJ’s bed.
Abe expressed concern that Chanel and Alex working together could cause issues, which came to a head when Alex entered the audition room, prompting another confrontation.

Stephanie overheard “Abigail” on the phone with Mark, discussing their plan, but “Abigail” claimed it was a call with her doctor, Kayla, about her recovery.
Stephanie later filled her in on their family history.
Later, Aaron met with “Abigail,” referring to each other as siblings.
When Stefan stormed into EJ’s room, he accused EJ of taking advantage of Gabi until he noticed her clothes on the floor, with Gabi revealing it was her idea.
This revelation led Stefan to punch EJ and tell Gabi he wouldn’t forgive her.
Steve and Kayla visited Stephanie’s apartment to fix her garbage disposal.

Sarah was back at the Kiriakis Mansion, adjusting to life in a wheelchair.
While talking to Fiona later, Sarah began to recall her accident. Tate visited Brady at the police station, questioning his relapse into drinking, and Brady admitted it was due to Tate’s mother.
John later visited Brady, who expressed his desire to take responsibility for his actions.
Eric returned to Salem and reunited with his mother. Tate met up with Holly, feeling sorry for his father, but Holly lashed out, expressing sympathy for Sarah.
Friday, September 6, 2024
Sarah experienced a hazy memory of the night she was struck, realizing it wasn’t Brady behind the wheel, but she couldn’t identify the driver.
Later, Fiona, alone with Sarah, sang to her before holding a pillow above her, ready to smother her.
Eric confronted EJ at the police station, leading to a disagreement, and then visited Brady.
Justin argued with EJ over the lack of evidence against Brady, forcing EJ to let Brady go.
Tate discovered Holly was unaware that Eric was the cause of her father’s death, and Holly was shocked by her mother’s deception.
