At Salem High, Tate shared the good news with Sophia that Brady was innocent, but still in jail for some reason.
Hoping for his father’s release, Tate learned from Sophia that Fiona was the real culprit and that she had threatened her to keep quiet about her drinking problem.
Fiona had been trying to hide that she wasn’t sober when she hit Sarah. Brady asked Sophia if she’d testify, and she agreed to help Tate in any way she could.
They nearly kissed before the lunch bell interrupted.
Meanwhile, at the Kiriakis mansion, Xander was upset with himself for trusting Fiona, but Sarah reassured him it wasn’t his fault.
Xander decided to focus on getting the cure for Sarah’s paralysis and ensuring Brady was freed.
At the police station, Xander and Sarah urged EJ to release Brady.
Despite EJ’s suspicions due to the shifting story, Sarah insisted Fiona was responsible.
Eventually, EJ relented and dropped the charges, warning Brady to leave before he changed his mind.
In Paris, Holly discussed her troubled love life with Chad before JJ arrived to officiate Chad and “Abigail’s” wedding.
JJ, recently ordained online, was eager to help them celebrate. However, when “Abigail” failed to recognize him, she pretended to feel a familiar connection.
During the ceremony, she saw Kayla’s text on Chad’s phone but claimed his phone was dead.
After the vows, JJ confessed he was afraid to reach out to “Abigail” earlier because of Jennifer’s reaction.
Holly became suspicious, recalling “Abigail” pretending to speak with JJ on the phone the night before.
Confused, Holly questioned, “Wait, didn’t you two just talk on the phone last night?”
