Days of Our Lives spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 11, reveals that Gabi Hernandez DiMera was called to the hospital when Rafe Hernandez woke up from his coma, so Connie Viniski didn’t get a chance to use the knife she had hidden behind her back.
At Connie’s apartment, Jada Hunter noticed the door was unlocked and went inside.
Just as she was about to check Connie’s bedroom and possibly discover Melinda Trask being held captive, Paulina Price called her with news about Rafe waking up.
At the hospital, Rafe’s initial tests showed no issues, and his memory seemed intact except for not remembering how he ended up in a coma.
Jada and Gabi were reunited with Rafe, and they briefed him on the stabbing incident at the cemetery.
Rafe remembered being on a call with Paulina right before the attack but couldn’t recall who stabbed him.
When Gabi and Jada updated Rafe on Everett Lynch confessing and taking his own life, Rafe was stunned by the information.
He eventually heard Connie’s voice in his mind as he thought back to the aftermath of the attack, but he kept it to himself and didn’t mention it to Jada.
Back at Connie’s apartment, she was furious over Gabi’s joy after sleeping with EJ and Rafe’s recovery.
Connie knew Li Shin didn’t want her to kill anyone else, but she felt like it was her only option to get back at Gabi.
Meanwhile, in the park, Stephanie Johnson told Chad DiMera about catching “Abigail DiMera” in what seemed like a lie.
Since “Abigail” hadn’t actually been talking to Kayla Johnson about a treatment plan, Stephanie was confused.
Chad suggested that “Abigail” might have just been mixed up because of all the new names and doctors she was dealing with.
At the DiMera mansion, “Abigail” spoke to Stefano DiMera’s portrait, feeling that he must despise her for lying to his son.
“Abby” admitted she wasn’t thrilled about it either but claimed she was doing what she had to do.
She also acknowledged how much family meant to Stefano and hinted it was the same for her and her brother.
Steve Johnson arrived and overheard, so “Abigail” covered by saying she was referring to JJ Deveraux, having heard a lot about him.
Steve pointed out that “Abigail” had lied to Stephanie about her conversation with Kayla, who denied speaking with her and wasn’t working on a treatment plan.
“Abigail” tried to brush it off, blaming recent confusion and acting overwhelmed.
Steve reflected on the time he thought he was Stefano and stressed that it wasn’t true. “Abigail” admitted she had doubts about being Chad’s wife initially, but the DNA test confirmed she was the real Abigail DiMera.
Steve was polite and assured “Abigail” that he, along with Kayla, would be there for her, but “Abigail” was uneasy as he left, sensing Steve’s skepticism.
