Thursday October 10, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Victor alters the rules for Lily, Claire receives a history lesson from Jack, and Nate returns to Genoa City with some news.
Wednesday’s recap: Jack confronts Kyle regarding the theft from Jabot and threatens legal action, while Sharon deceives Chance to implicate Daniel.

At Crimson Lights, Devon shares with Lily that Dominic said no to him while he was trying to dress him. She laughs, recalling the phase Charlie went through.
They talk about the lost wedding venue and how Victor came through, but Devon expresses concern about her working with him.

She assures him that she knows what she’s doing. Devon asks if she has any written documentation confirming her position as CEO, which prompts Lily to feel uneasy about him questioning her judgment.
He doesn’t think Victor will give her the job no matter what. “It’s not going to happen.” He’ll give it to a Newman. Lily believes that Victor will find she’s an asset. Devon says all that means is he’ll use her and toss her aside. “He’s Victor Newman. This is business.”

Lily thinks she’s best to run Chancellor and he wants that. Devon thinks he’ll give it to Nikki. Lily doubts it but Devon mentions Victor surprising Nikki with a priceless gift.
Nikki and Katherine were best friends. He has loyalty to Katherine. Lily reminds her brother he was also loyal to their dad. Devon maintains his theory. Once Lily’s gone, Nate turns up.

He saw Lily on his way in and she seemed pissed. Devon says she is because he brought up the deal with Victor. Nate thinks Devon should let it go if his sister won’t listen.
Devon hopes it’s because she’s starting to see the light. Nate says whatever the man is doing is likely not what Devon thinks.
Devon’s concerned that Lily will be crushed. If his theory is true, it’ll be a big problem for him and his future father-in-law. Nate tells his cousin about meeting Amy Lewis, who dated his dad years ago.

She found moments in an old storage box that she thought he’d like to have. Nate says they were random things. He got a strange vibe about her calling him out there. Like she wanted to get a sense of who he was.

Nikki brings coffee and pastries to Victor at Newman Enterprises. She agrees when he calls himself a lucky man. She admits she feels restless.
She loves her new sponsor but she misses working. He tries to reassure her that with Lily’s help, the plan is moving along.

He brings up Phyllis’ role at Chancellor which bothers Nikki.
She hates being sneaky with Lily who thinks she’ll be CEO when she won’t but didn’t realize how much it would mean to her to follow in Katherine’s footsteps.
Victor tells her about how abhorrent Jack’s behavior was toward Diane recently. He wants the man to get what he deserves.

Claire arrives at the Abbott household to get Harrison’s swimsuit when she spots Sadsack Jack. She questions what’s up and he tells her he keeps having run-ins with Kyle.
She’s sorry and tells Jack about her own concerns about his behavior.

She reveals his trap to get Audra fired and that Kyle got pleasure out of taking her down. It triggered her since it was just like Jordan.
“Vengeful, ruthless and cold.” Jack’s seen it too. He’s acting like Victor with whom he believes is the silent investor.
Claire knows nothing about that. Jack tells her the war between him and Victor goes back before Claire was born. Victor knows it’s the best way to hurt him.

He cautions Claire that if he tells her this story, she’ll see another side of her grandfather. She’s fine with that. Jack says there’s no such thing as a fair fight with him and it’s never about business.
Claire has never seen this side. Jack tells her it’s because she’s family. They’re alike in that respect but Victor’s leading Kyle down a dark path he presumes he won’t come back from.

Jack wishes Victor would just punish him and leave his family out of this. Claire asks to help but Jack doesn’t want that.
He just wants her to know what’s up. Claire pushes him to let her help.

Chance turns up at Daniel’s condo. He spoke with Sharon last night and asks if Daniel and Heather fought the night she died.
She said she was there that night to apologize. Daniel’s confused. He didn’t know she was there.
Why didn’t she tell someone before?
CBS
Chance doesn’t know but is trying to get a full picture.
Daniel finds it odd that Heather would open up to Sharon since she’s been crusading to get them out of town. Chance admits it sounds improbable.
Daniel says they had a misunderstanding but she wasn’t that agitated. “We were good. We were fine that night.”
CBS
It’s what brought him comfort during this. Chance has to ask these questions and is sorry. Daniel wants to help. He asks about the squabbles and how long they were going on.
Daniel says recently, they’ve had issues with Lucy’s behavior and their job search and then the accident, which was topped off with Sharon’s attitude.

Daniel doesn’t believe she and Sharon would discuss anything personal. What would make her lie about a fight? It’s out of character. They discussed things.
Chance asks if it’s possible Heather was seeing someone else. Daniel denies that vehemently but Chance says she went to the river for some reason. Who else would be able to get into her phone? Still, Daniel denies it.
Chance just wanted to rule it out but he needs confirmation before ruling it out. He asks to search the condo but Daniel won’t allow it.

Lily arrives at Newman Enterprises.
She has serious problems with their partnership that she wants solved today.

Lily’s not happy he hasn’t put their agreement in writing. It feels like he’s stringing her along. Victor assures she has nothing to worry about.
He vows to take care of her since he’s a man of his word. Since he won’t answer, she tells him it’s not good enough and takes off.

Lily finds Nikki at the Atheltic Club and says she has a question. First, she’s grateful for Nikki giving her that letter from Katherine. Nikki thought she should have it. It’s what friends do.

Lily admits she feels she’s being played by her and Victor and the deal with Chancellor and hopes she’s overreacting. Nikkii says she and Victor think the world of Lily.
That’s not what Lily’s questioning. Is he going to make Nikki CEO?
She asks for the truth, stating she’d respect her if she came clean. Nikki looks down and says, “Lily…” It’s all Lily needs to hear.

She realizes it’s true and thinks she must have been going along with Victor.
Nikki says yes, the plan was for her to be CEO of Chancellor.
CBS
She hated that Victor manipulated her but she went along with it. It’s on her.
She thinks taking over Katherine’s company clouded her judgment and her morals. She’s sorry. She hoped to convince Lily to stay and work with her. Lily finds that laughable. “You seriously believed that?” Nikki still wants it.
Lily says Nikki made her feel safe. Nikki thinks they can still do great things together. Lily shakes her head. She’s done with both of them. She storms off.

“I did find some disturbing evidence in Daniel and Heather’s apartment. Things don’t look too good for your brother right now,” Chance tells Summer.

“Victor Newman. He’s the silent investor behind Glissade. He’s the one whose been pulling Kyle’s strings all along,” Audra informs Jack.

“Would you like to know about your grandmother? I have a few stories to tell you,” Phyllis says to Lucy.
