When the post of Yoki, a dog with a heartbreaking story, appeared on our VK, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Yoki was found on November 4th, with his collar still on, covered in dirt and bryophytes, after living like that for months since his owner’s death. His previous life was full of love and care, as he used to be a cute pet with a warm bed and good food. However, when his owner passed away, her will stated that whoever took her house had to take care of Yoki, which led to a family feud among her three daughters, leaving Yoki to fend for himself in the garden.

Luckily, an electrician discovered Yoki’s plight and we were able to rescue him. After trimming down his long, dirty hair, we discovered that he had a blind eye and had been living in constant pain and discomfort. However, despite everything, Yoki’s resilience shone through, and he began to show improvements in his appetite and health. We brought him to the hospital, and the result was positive – he could still see, although not as clearly as before.

Yoki quickly became a beloved member of our shelter, and he found a best friend among the other dogs. Bad things are now gone, and he’s enjoying his second chance at life. Yoki’s story is a reminder of the importance of pet adoption and the resilience of animals in the face of adversity.
