Last month, a video was posted on our VK group showing an emaciated dog that urgently needed help. The person who posted the video saw people shooing the dog away, and that’s when she reached out to us. We immediately went to the location during lunchtime to try and find the dog, but we had no luck. We searched the area and asked locals for help, but they said the dog wasn’t from around there.

Luckily, we met a man who saw the dog around a week ago, finding food from garbage and sometimes stealing food. The man calmed down the people and gave food to the dog before leading it to our direction. Around 3:00 PM, we finally found the dog, and it broke our hearts to see it. The dog was so starved that it used all its strength to eat out a piece of chicken. We named her Since, as no one saw her until that day.

We took Since to the vet the next day and found out that she was extremely scared and cried a lot. We had to calm her down before we could even cut her nails, which took a long time to grow. It was a painful process for her, and it made us realize that she had been neglected for at least eight months. Additionally, we discovered that her uterus was bleeding, and we were not sure if it was due to cancer or sexual abuse.

We had to take Since to X-ray to figure out the cause of the bleeding, but our main focus was on treating her to stop the bleeding. It was painful for her, and we couldn’t imagine the pain she had suffered during the process. Fortunately, the cancer test came back negative, and we continued her treatment.

After ten days in the vet, Since was finally back at our center, still skinny but safe with us. Since couldn’t stand the cold, so we gave her new clothes. Despite her condition, she is doing quite well, but she still has a long way to go. We ask that you keep us in your prayers and join us in supporting Since as she recovers.

In the end, we hope that Since’s story will inspire people to take action when they see an animal in need. No animal should have to suffer like Since did, and it is our responsibility to do what we can to help them.
