A poor puppy was thrown into the trash after being bitten by a large dog. His owner did not want to take responsibility and treated him like trash. The puppy was left on the street with a hopeless and desperate look until he was found by kind-hearted people. They immediately took him to the vet to check his back leg.
The vet discovered that the puppy had a fracture of the spine, which had already healed within a month, causing his hind legs to stop obeying. The puppy, named Filka, underwent a CT scan, which showed a multi-comminuted fracture of the spine with displacement. The vet had to extract multiple bone fragments from the tissue, which had been squeezing the nerve in the thoracic-lumbar region.
Filka had been in terrible pain for more than a month before the operation. After the operation, he required rehabilitation in a specialized center to help him develop a “spinal gait” and urination with a complete emptying of the bladder. Although the process will be long and costly, the kind-hearted people who found him promised to do all their best for him.
Filka is vaccinated and has a veterinary passport. Sensitivity in his paws is preserved, but his legs do not obey. However, he still tries to go to the toilet by himself, pooping on his knees, barks at big dogs, and even tries to run. Filka is a good-natured child who wags his tail incessantly. He was not lucky from the beginning, but he is now in Maloyaroslavets, and on Sunday, he will be transferred to Karina for rehabilitation.
Filka’s journey to recovery may be long and challenging, but the kind-hearted people who found him will not give up on him. They are determined to give him a chance at a better life, and they will be there for him every step of the way.
