Last August 20th, a stray dog named Juana was found on the streets, suffering from severe neglect and abuse. People had thrown stones and garbage at her, kicked her away, and let her be bitten by other dogs just because they thought she was too ugly.
When she was rescued, nearly all of her hair was gone, and her skin disease was worse than anyone had imagined. However, despite all the pain she had endured, Juana still had an incredible appetite, which was a good sign for her recovery.
Over the course of the next few weeks, Juana received intensive skin treatment, and her skin gradually improved. Her old hair was shaved off to allow new hair to grow, and even though new hair had not yet fully grown in, Juana was already surrounded by love and care.
After two months, Juana found her new family, and it was clear that she had found the best mom in the world. She was finally in a home full of love, where she could live happily surrounded by affection.
Now, two years later, Juana is unrecognizable from the abandoned and abused dog that she once was. She has become an angel, and it has been an honor for everyone who was able to be by her side throughout her incredible transformation. Juana’s story is a testament to the resilience and spirit of dogs, and it serves as a reminder that even the most neglected and abused animals can still find a happy and loving home.
