Glory was found in a horrifying state, her leg rotted and infested with maggots. Abandoned and left to suffer, this innocent dog was a victim of terrible animal cruelty. In a desperate attempt to save her life, Glory was brought to Mercy Animal Clinic for immediate medical attention.
The dedicated team at Mercy Animal Clinic, led by Nicole McCoy, worked tirelessly to remove the matted fur encasing Glory’s body. Despite her weakened state and deformed feet and toes, Glory began to eat, drink, and walk on her own within a few days of her rescue.
Glory was taken in by Jo-Anna Lea Marsicano, who provided a safe and loving foster home for her to rest and regain her strength. With the support of a caring community, Glory’s story spread, and donations poured in to help cover her medical expenses.
On day 7, Glory underwent a life-changing surgery to remove her severely damaged leg. Though her recovery was painful and difficult, she remained strong and determined to live. Glory’s story is a stark reminder of the dark side of humanity, as no one was held accountable for her abuse.
By day 9, Glory had made remarkable progress and was ready to leave the clinic. Thanks to the dedication and compassion of those who cared for her, she had overcome incredible adversity and emerged as a symbol of hope and resilience.
