We are sad to report that one of the puppies we rescued did not make it, but we are happy to share the story of the surviving puppy who showed remarkable resilience and determination.
The little puppy, a black furball, was left on the side of the road with his sibling in the middle of the night. A kind-hearted woman saw the drunk man who abandoned them and reported it to us. When we arrived, we found the white puppy walking around, but the black one was hiding and in bad shape.
We immediately took both of them to the vet, and the black puppy was diagnosed with hypothermia and a severe worm infestation that was eating away at his skin. He had likely been lying on the side of the road for 3-5 days.
Despite his poor condition, the black puppy showed an incredible will to live. We gave him a hot bath to rinse off the larvae and a blood sugar spike to help him recover. He was scared and wouldn’t eat at first, but after some coaxing, he started to eat and play more.
The little black puppy had a long road to recovery, but he showed us his determination and resilience every step of the way. We watched in amazement as he gradually regained his strength and fought off his illnesses.
One day, to our surprise, the little black puppy started walking along the side of the road towards what we thought was his home. We followed him and, sure enough, he led us to a house where a woman said he was hers but she couldn’t take care of him anymore.
We took him in and gave him a new home, where he continued to thrive and grow stronger. It was amazing to see how this little puppy, who was abandoned and left for dead, showed us what it means to have a strong will to live and the determination to overcome adversity.
We are happy to report that the little black puppy is now a happy and healthy dog, full of energy and love. His story is a testament to the resilience of animals and the importance of giving them a second chance at life.
