“Days Of Our Lives” spoilers disclose that Stefan DiMera was taken aback to find his spouse, Gabi Hernandez, hovering over Li Shin’s body, a bloody knife in her grasp.
Gabi insists she did not injure Li, although she erred in extracting the knife from his body, possibly in a misguided attempt to assist him.
Regrettably, this act left her fingerprints on the blade.
They opt to escape the crime scene, only to realize they’ve already delayed too much.

Gabi is actually relived and hopes that Li will survive so he can reveal who really stabbed him.
But Li does eventually succumb to his injuries and Wendy will turn her attention to getting justice for her brother and demand that Rafe Hernandez arrest Gabi.
Things will begin to look even worse for Gabi as the evidence seems to point to her. But unlike Wendy, Rafe believes his sister didn’t kill Li.

Wendy will remind Rafe that Gabi and Li’s recent history gives Gabi a very convincing motive for murder.
Fearing Rafe will have no choice but to arrest her, Gabi and Stefan will likely take plan to spirit Gabi out of Salem.
Although Gabi will hate being a fugitive, she knows if she is convicted of murder for a second time, she will likely never leave prison.
Stefan will likely stay behind since he finally has taken over DiMera Enterprises after firing EJ DiMera as CEO.
Also, Gabi will hope that if Stefan stays in Salem, he can find out who really killed Li and maybe even convince Wendy that the real killer is still out there.
