It might be the perfect moment for a timeless parent-trapping scenario, providing Harrison with a chance to facilitate a joyful family reunion.
It’s easy to imagine Harrison having a conversation with “DiDi” aka Diane Jenkins-Abbott about her own reunion with Jack Abbott.
Maybe Diane could talk about how Jack forgave her for past mistakes and highlight how it’s never too late to turn things around.
Harrison might be inspired to push Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman back together with some scheming.
Although Harrison’s biological mother is Tara Locke, she’s in prison and hasn’t been the one raising him.
Harrison calls Summer “Mommy,” so The Young and The Restless fans know she’s become his mom in every way that counts.
With that in mind, Harrison may decide he wants Kyle and Summer to reunite so things can be how they used to be.
Now that Harrison has to split time between Summer and Kyle, it’s obviously not the same.
Harrison would much rather have Summer living at the Abbott mansion again, so he might come up with a plot to make it happen.
Perhaps Harrison could fake being sick in hopes that Kyle and Summer would bond over caring for him.
It would at least get Summer to hopefully stay the night and give her an opportunity to reconnect with Kyle under the same roof.
Of course, Harrison might take his plan to the next level by creating some miscommunication and arranging for Kyle and Summer to walk into some sort of romantic ambush.
Harrison might ask Diane for help with this part – and how could “DiDi” deny the sweet face of her precious grandson?
Maybe Harrison will recruit Diane to become his matchmaking partner and add to the potential parent-trapping fiasco.
When it comes to a soap kid with divorced parents, it’s almost a rite of passage for them to scheme to get Mom and Dad back together.
