The Young And The Restless: Claire’s Brave Journey To Closure

While grappling with the realization that Jordan lied to her for decades, she is now desperate to sort out the mess.

According to Hayley Erin, who acts as Claire, “Claire wants closure.” Erin highlights a big moment in the cabin with Jordan when Claire, in a noticeable change, calls Jordan just by her name, not the family term.

With the ground shaking beneath her, Claire is now on a mission to find closure, leading her to start a talk with Jordan to discuss their whole history together.

Once Claire says she wants to visit Jordan, who’s in prison, her new parents, Victoria and Cole, promise to think about it. Later, while Claire is sleeping in her room at the psychiatric ward, she has a bad dream.

In the dream, Cole and Victoria show feelings of pain, anger, and disappointment because Claire decided to see Jordan.

The Young And The Restless star, Hayley Erin, really likes this scene and calls it one of her favorites. She enjoys the freedom dreams give to be creative, letting the character do things that aren’t realistic.

Erin thinks these dream scenes help the audience understand Claire better – her personality, reasons, and how she’s feeling right now.

Later on, Victoria and Cole show up, and Claire is excited to find out if they’ve decided to let her see Jordan.

Cole says he’s okay with the meeting, but Victoria is still unsure because she’s worried about her daughter.

Hayley Erin comments, “They’re just like all moms and dads; their ways of being parents are different.” Erin notes that Victoria is being protective, which is new to Claire and something she hasn’t faced before.

Even though Claire kind of argues with Victoria about it, she secretly values this protective side in a way.

Claire talks about why she thinks it’s important to face Jordan. The Young And The Restless star Hayley Erin says, “For 25 years, Jordan was like a parent to Claire, so they have a big history together.”

Erin adds, “Being betrayed by someone who’s supposed to be your close friend and helper must hurt a lot. I can’t even imagine. So, telling Jordan how Claire really feels is an important part of healing. It’s a way to let that person know you see their true self and understand what they’ve done.”

Victoria agrees to back her daughter’s choice, but she sets a condition – she wants to go with Claire to the prison. Yet, Claire insists on facing her aunt alone.
