Fans have observed a shift in John “Finn” Finnegan’s demeanor in recent times on The Bold and the Beautiful.
With Xander Avant emphasizing Thomas Forrester’s troubled past, Finn is undoubtedly becoming increasingly apprehensive.
As a result, Finn has been standing up to Thomas and showing off a truly fierce version of himself.

Why is Finn so protective of Hope Logan out of nowhere like she’s his ex-wife or something?
Most of Finn’s dialogue probably would’ve been more appropriate for Liam Spencer under the circumstances.
Since Finn hasn’t even interacted with Hope all that much over the years, it’s strange for him to suddenly appoint himself her rescue ranger.
Finn’s seemingly taking over that protective role from Liam, so that’s led to some pretty intense conversations with Thomas.
Although the show’s playing up Thomas’ villainous past, Finn is almost coming off a little unstable himself.
It just seems extreme for Finn to declare that as long as he lives and breathes, Thomas will never be with Hope.
How is Hope’s love life really Finn’s business – especially when he has no romantic history with her at all?
Of course, it’s possible that The Bold and the Beautiful writers intend to pair Finn and Hope up in the future, but that’s not a good excuse for Finn going all caveman and defending Hope now.
It might be interesting if the show did something unexpected and made Finn the dangerous one.
Could Finn actually be a threat to Thomas if this Hope feud gets out of hand?
It’s easy to imagine this building to a final showdown where things get physical between Thomas and Finn.
What if it goes too far and Finn ends up seriously injuring Thomas?
Naturally, Finn probably wouldn’t premeditate something like that, but his scary Sheila Carter side could still come out in the heat of the moment.
This could be a situation where the doc’s DNA spells trouble since Sheila is his birth mother.
Finn is a good guy most of the time, but could he dip into bad boy territory for a bit and prove he can bring some danger, too.
