The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that Chance Chancellor’s professional persona has consistently revolved around crime fighting.
Whether with the federal agencies or Genoa City’s police department, he has consistently been a “good guy” on the mission to apprehend the bad guys.
Still, Chance recently decided to place his police badge on the shelf for now and dive into the world of corporate America.
How will he fare during this transition?
The character’s portrayer, actor Conner Floyd, recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest about Chance’s new career direction and how fans could see a “whole new” person evolving.
Conner Floyd states that he loves a new challenge and “good change”, and notes, “Bring it on!”
He goes on to say that Chance has had storylines involving marriage, divorce, as well as police and crime-fighting work, plus PTSD, and dad stuff.
The actor thinks that a career switch will offer viewers a “fresh take” on Chance.
He also teases it will offer a “new Chance” that audiences have yet to see, and he’s quite excited about it all.
Working at Chancellor-Winters won’t only offer Chance the chance (pun intended) to learn the ins and outs of his family’s legacy and the business world, but he’ll also have to navigate the sticky waters of working with Devon Hamilton-Winters the very person who played a major role in breaking up his marriage to Abby Newman-Abbott.
Plus, with Abby having her sights set on a CW board seat, she’ll be in his orbit a lot more, too.
Conner says that he feels as if the affair between Abby and Devon, plus the Chabby divorce got brushed under the rug, and it hasn’t been re-addressed for a long while.
He goes on to note that it’ll be interesting if Chance is still “salty” about the situation.
Mr. Floyd also points out that seeing Abby and Devon daily and having to work with them will be another challenge Chance has to face.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest there could be some drama on the horizon between these three at CW, but there might also be an interesting layer to this storyline.
Actress Melissa Ordway recently stated during a red-carpet interview that Chabby reunion hopes would be explored in the new year.
