The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Billy Abbott is growing increasingly enamored with Chelsea Lawson, raising the possibility of an impending marriage proposal.
That’s especially true since Valentine’s Day is coming up – and that’s often a popular time to pop the question.
Billy might already have an engagement ring in the works for Chelsea, but will he actually get a chance to propose?
Since it turns out Connor Newman is having some problems at school, that could become the priority and derail Billy’s wedding plans.
Billy may decide it’s not the right time to ask Chelsea to marry him, particularly since it might make things worse with Connor.
Although Connor likes Billy, he’s proven that he has a tough time coping with change.
Of course, it’s also possible Billy could move full-speed ahead with a marriage proposal and perhaps view it as a way to comfort Chelsea.
Billy may think he can be the one to offer stability and hope Chelsea responds well to his question popping instead.
However, Chelsea might have to turn Billy down and focus on putting Connor first.
There’s nothing more important to Chelsea than being a mom, so she may have to table any marriage discussion while she concentrates on her family crisis.
Billy and Chelsea have been dating for a pretty good chunk of time – at least by soap standards – so it’s reasonable to think the idea of a wedding ceremony could come up sooner rather than later.
That doesn’t necessarily mean Chelsea and Billy will rush to the altar, but they could talk about their potential nuptials and whether marriage might happen for them down the road.
Even if Billy and Chelsea have to delay their wedding plans, they could still end up tying the knot at some point – at least if The Young and the Restless writers decide to go all in on their next chapter together.
