While she empathizes with Jack Abbott wanting to help Nikki through her struggles with alcohol, it seems Diane’s patience may wear thin.

Although Victor obviously won’t be thrilled over Jack being Nikki’s new sponsor, he’ll work out a compromise with his wife.
After Nikki sobers up following her latest drunken crisis, Victor may get on board with Jack helping her on one condition.
Victor may make Nikki promise that she won’t shut him out anymore, so she can continue leaning on Jack while accepting her husband’s support, too.
That’s all perfectly fine for Nikki, but Diane will find herself jealous and frustrated the longer this goes on.
It seems Diane might witness a close moment between Jack and Nikki that adds to her concerns.
However, Diane may hold her tongue for the most part and just look forward to having Jack all to herself this Valentine’s Day.
There’ll be some romantic celebrations happening in Genoa City during the week of February 12-16, so Jack might plan to treat Diane to dinner and dancing.
Of course, that might be the soapiest time for Nikki to have another urgent ordeal that requires Jack’s full attention.
Diane might find herself waiting all night while Jack rushes to Nikki’s aid.
It could be a situation where Jack never shows up at all – or maybe he’ll have to ditch Diane in the middle of the wonderful evening they’re having.
If Jack and Diane get interrupted by an emergency call in the bedroom, that could really get under Diane’s skin!
With Jordan’s threat inching closer to Genoa City, that’ll be a factor in some Nikki drama that’s still to come on The Young and the Restless.
Jack could get tangled up in some Jordan-related disaster and have to put that first soon enough.
