During the week of February 26-March 1, Claire Grace will consult with Michael Baldwin and persuade him to take the actions Victor Newman desires by pulling the right strings.
Claire will be determined to do whatever it takes to help the Newman family, but that could require taking more of a risk than she previously thought.
Victor originally suggested that Claire would simply have to deliver a message to Jordan over the phone.
However, Victor might need more from Claire once she’s officially released.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will recruit Claire for the next phase of his trap, so it sounds like they’ll have a strategy session and perhaps take the scheme a bit further.
The goal in scoring Claire’s early release is to
a) make it easier for Jordan to contact her and
b) encourage her to reach out since Claire’s accepting favors from the rich family she was raised to hate.
That all makes sense, but Claire may have to do more than just tell Jordan that Victor wants to make amends.
When Jordan inevitably calls, Claire might pretend to have a massive change of heart.
Perhaps Claire could turn on the waterworks and act like she’s already feeling stifled by the mean old Newmans.
Claire might claim that Victor got her out against her will and that he’s already trying to push her over the edge – just like Jordan’s sister, Eve Howard.
It’s easy to imagine Claire crying and apologizing like she wants to rejoin “Team Jordan.”
Jordan has manipulated Claire her entire life, so she’d probably buy that her great-niece has come crawling back and that she’s falling in line just like she used to.
Jordan has a huge ego and might insist Claire should just let her fix the mess.
Claire could fake pledge her loyalty to Jordan and act like she needs help escaping from the Newmans’ tangled web.
It’ll be interesting to see if Claire puts on an act and fools Jordan as part of Victor’s next steps!
