When Sheila Carter startled Steffy at the cliff house, Steffy’s immediate concern was self-defense.
In that moment, Steffy felt that she had to do whatever it took to survive.
It’s not like Steffy was thinking about the messy legal situation she could land in, but she’s certainly thinking about it now that Deputy Chief Bradley Baker is asking so many questions.
The Bold and the Beautiful fans saw how the whole thing went down, but Deputy Chief Baker only has Steffy’s word to go on – at least so far.
That presents a problem since the only other person there that night is cold in the morgue!
Steffy brutally attacked an unarmed woman without any witnesses around.
There doesn’t seem to be any proof of forced entry despite Steffy’s claims about Sheila breaking in.
It’s not like Sheila broke a door down and dropped a weapon during all this.
For all Deputy Chief Baker knows, Steffy could’ve arranged for Sheila to come over and walk into a fatal trap.
That could certainly be a theory that Deputy Chief starts to ponder if he finds out from Deacon Sharpe that Steffy wished Sheila dead earlier that day!
Deputy Chief may consider the idea that Steffy decided to take matters into her own hands and end Sheila permanently.
Of course, Steffy may remind Deputy Chief Baker that Sheila was a dangerous criminal who fired her in the alley along with John “Finn” Finnegan.
However, Sheila walked free in the end, so Deputy Chief Baker may ask if Steffy was upset about that and went after vigilante justice.
This may begin to look like some sort of setup in Deputy Chief Baker’s eyes.
Steffy’s only hope might be a surprise witness if someone was perhaps on the property peering in that night.
Could there be a twist if someone comes forward to back Steffy up?
Naturally, things could head in a far worse direction if the surprise witness goes against Steffy’s side of the story!
If the witness was Sheila’s ally, that could make a mess of things.
