Carrie Malabre is set to guest star as a doppelgänger for both Mariah Copeland and Cassie Newman, sparking curiosity among fans on social media.
Since Cassie passed away back in 2005, it’s always noteworthy when anything related to the character pops up.
The latest news could point to Cassie’s ghost appearing, so let’s discuss the details and make some predictions.
There are a couple of important things to note here, including the fact that Camryn Grimes made her own first appearance as Cassie Newman on March 19, 1997.
It seems likely that this Mariah and Cassie double will appear on March 19 as well as part of some special way to honor the anniversary of Grimes’ debut.
Of course, we should also point out that while Cassie and Mariah are twins, Grimes is not!
That means if the show’s going to do scenes where Mariah perhaps talks to Cassie’s spirit or at least imagines her, having a redheaded double will make that easier.
It’s also possible Sharon Newman could be involved, so maybe there could be a scene where Mariah and “Cassie” are seen together from behind or something along those lines.
The Young and the Restless might even tie this in with Sharon’s new business since Cassidy First Technology is named after Cassie.
There might be some sign that Cassie is quite proud of everything Sharon’s accomplishing.
Whatever the case, Carrie Malabre will indeed play a Mariah and Cassie double during the week of March 18-22, so you can presumably catch her on March 19 for that special anniversary of Cassie’s first airdate.
