EJ backed Sloan into a corner: Either tell Nicole that Jude is her son—her and EJ’s, that is—or EJ will see Sloan sent to prison.
Sloan talked it out with Melinda and decided that, yeah, prison sounds kind of bad—much worse than losing Eric.
This way, Nicole doesn’t get to have him either.
