Tuesday September 17, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Mariah and Faith are concerned about their mother, Abby and Devon talk about their wedding, and Chelsea attempts to apologize to Billy once more.
Monday’s recap: Cameron Urges Frazzled Sharon to Pursue Daniel, Lucy Locks Herself in Her Room, and Nick Contemplates Family Therapy

Abby and Devon are shopping for wedding attire at Society. She tells him he looks great in everything.
CBS
Phyllis appears and asks if they’re celebrating Billy being out of their hair. Devon becomes defensive.
She then starts questioning them about their IT openings, adding that she wouldn’t work for them for a million dollars.
CBS
She just wonders if they are planning to poach people from Chancellor. He refuses to talk to her.
She’s handed her take-out and takes off.
Abby complains about Phyllis always lurking and he decides to whisk his fiancée away.
CBS
Devon and Abby go to the park and look at the stars. They feel like their destiny is written up there.
CBS
They talk about getting married in a hot air balloon and she says he takes her to Heaven every day.
They talk about love and all they can do.
CBS
At Sharon’s, Nick tells her daughters that Esther is with Sharon at Crimson Lights and she’s not acting like herself. He’s determined to bring her home so they can talk.
CBS
Once he takes off, Faith starts tidying up the mess. She guesses Mariah and Nick are more worried than they are letting on.
Mariah tells her it’s okay to be scared and urges her to express her feelings so she can be a big sister.
CBS
Faith thinks her accident with Lucy brought all this on. Mariah thinks it only showed how much help she needs. They can help her find her way.
They hug.
CBS
Faith tells her how their mom had soup delivered to her when she had a cold at university. She worries this is too much for her.
Mariah says you never get a break from being a mom. Faith wishes she’d never gotten involved with Lucy and Mariah urges her not to blame herself.
CBS
Billy is surprised when Chelsea shows up in his office. She brought oatmeal raisin cookies and thanks him for talking to Connor about them.
CBS
She was torn about coming but her son told her that he took the blame for everything. Billy did it because he cares about the kid.
Seeing how much he is hurting breaks her heart. She’ll never forgive herself for ruining what they had. She’s hoping they can get it back.
He doesn’t want her looking at him like he’s broken. If there was anything she could do, he would tell her.

Chelsea apologizes again. He’s mad at himself for not being able to forgive her.
Phyllis bursts in. The tension is thick. Chelsea departs.
CBS
Phyllis hands him a bag of food and announces she has information.
As he eats, she says it looking like Winters are thinking of poaching some of their IT talent. She suggests he gets them locked down.
Billy thanks her. She starts complaining about the raisins in the cookies and then urges him to bounce any ideas he has off her.
CBS
He reminds her about boundaries and explains he is willing to take her on as a “distant second in command” not as a partner.
He tells her it’s not a democracy and she doesn’t get a vote. He calls the shots and she needs to stay in her lane.
Phyllis offers to sleep on that and he tells her to take the cookies.
CBS
Adam and his son are eating at the GCAC and discussing how Chelsea doesn’t like pepperoni. Connor admits he knows about her splitting up with Billy.
CBS
“It kinda sucks,” he says. Adam asks what Billy said about it. Connor says he claimed it was about business.
They talk about how busy Billy must be. Connor isn’t mad at him. He’s frustrated because he thinks Billy lied to him to protect him.
Connor says his OCD is a superpower that lets him see the things people try to hard. he wishes people would tell him what’s actually happening so he would know it’s real.
CBS
His father confirms that he and Sally has split up. Connor assumes that wasn’t because of Billy’s job. Adam claims it’s because of his job.
Connor guesses that something happened between his parents.
Adam explains he and Sally are just giving each other space. They have found their way back to each other before.
CBS
Connor says they were great together…but what he had with Chelsea was better. Chelsea arrives to eavesdrops on this.
She joins them and tells her son she heard what he just said.
CBS
Their son thinks they are more comfortable with each other, more like themselves.
Connor asks his mom if she’s giving up on Billy. She admits she’d like things to work out but Billy doesn’t think it can.
Their son tells them that he likes Sally and Billy, but he likes them better together as a family with him. He thinks they like it better too.
CBS
On the patio of Crimson Lights, Daniel tells Sharon he doesn’t have another fight in him today. She says this is about them, not Lucy.
CBS
She knows she’s been pretty erratic lately. “Consistently hostile,” he says.
They talk about why she’s been lashing out and blaming him. She says she hasn’t been rational or fair to him or his family.
CBS
He wishes there was more he could do to help. She says she needs to handle this on her own.
“That’s right baby, and you know exactly what needs to be done,” Cameron tells her.
CBS
Daniel is relieved that she wants to handle things and knows how much she’s lost. He’s sure she can never really make peace with that.
He can’t help feeling guilty.
Cameron barks that she can’t let this pity party get in the way and reminds her they need to show him what pain really is.
Daniel tells her how hard he and Heather are working to make Lucy atone. Heather has even suggested they leave town.
CBS
“Maybe you should do that,” she urges.
He wonders why she said that. Cameron accuses her of wanting to get him out of the way so she doesn’t have to do what she needs to do.
Sharon suggests Heather just has good maternal instincts and it could be better if Lucy moved away.
CBS
Daniel is sure this is about them, not their daughters. He can see how much she hates him and will never get past it.
Nick bursts in and Sharon claims she just apologizing. She tells Daniel it’s painful to see him, but she doesn’t hate him. She has no room in her heart for that.
CBS
She assures him she won’t be going off on him or his family again.
He gets a text from Heather and has to go. On the way out, he tells Sharon he hopes he can love his family half as much as she does.
Sharon tells Nick that she’s tired from all the emotions. He’s glad to see her getting along with Daniel.
CBS
He mentions that Faith is worried and offers to drive her home to see her. Sharon doesn’t want to leave her car. He says he’ll see her at home.
CBS
Once he leaves, Cameron tells her that they can’t let him get in the way of what they need to do.
He says her family wants to force their idea of help on her even if she doesn’t need it. Faith is just a trap to get her home.
CBS
If she’s not careful, they will ship her off to Fairview. This might be their last chance.
“We need to do this now,” he tells her.
CBS
Nick returns to Sharon’s and tells the daughter’s that he found their mom with Daniel. They assume that was bad.
CBS
He says she seemed to have things under control but there was a weird edge to it.
It’s like she’s fighting but he’s not sure it’s a fight she can win.
