Monday September 16, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Nick, Mariah, and Faith talk about intervening with Sharon, while Cole and Victoria have dinner with their daughter and Kyle. Meanwhile, Cameron refuses to leave Sharon’s side.
Friday’s recap: Phyllis tries to secure a job from Billy, but Nick warns her against it. Meanwhile, Audra confronts Kyle harshly, and Kyle shares a kiss with Claire.

Victoria wakes up in bed with Cole and asks if it’s better now than it was when they were younger.

He tells her she’s more perfect now than she was back then.
She acknowledges that they’ve changed since then, but they still share a connection that’s both comfortable and enjoyable.

Cole says it feels like they finally got their timing right. This should bode well for their future.
He tells her he wants to resign his job and stay there for good.

Kyle and Claire get curly fries at the GCAC. They are trying to focus on the good things, not his blow-up with his mom.

They spot her parents coming down the hall, kissing in the foyer.
CBS
Victoria tells Cole they can’t keep it secret now. He asks if that’s what she wanted.
She assures him she has no regrets and they walk over to see their daughter.

They are invited to join them and talk about Claire’s love of hot sauce.
CBS
Kyle tells them they’ve been “hanging” and Claire stumbles into asking what her parents were doing upstairs.
Things get awkward and they start scarfing fries. They order food and talk about Harrison and what a charmer he is.

The topic turns to Cole’s trip to England. He explains that he’s leaving Oxford and moving to Genoa City permanently.
He suggests they have a family trip when he goes back to get the rest of his place. Claire suggests Kyle come along as a tour guide.

Once Kyle takes off to tuck his son in, Cole and Victoria ask their daughter what’s going on.
She claims it was just dinner and they’re just friends. She asks if they are a couple now.
CBS
Her parents say there’s no reason to label it. They are taking it a day at a time. Claire smiles at them.
At the Abbott estate, Kyle has a drink and thinks of kissing Claire. He smiles to himself.

Heather arrives at home and finds Daniel looking glum. He explains their daughter has locked herself in her room.
CBS
He had no luck at his job interview and neither did she. She wonders if they need to look elsewhere.
He thinks leaving town would be a huge mistake. He tells her Lucy threatened to run away if they take a trip.
CBS
Also, he doesn’t think Lucy needs teh suggestion that running away from your problems is okay.
CBS
Lucy joins them and doubles down on not taking a trip. She’s startled when her mom says she’s thinking of moving.
Lucy assumes she’s embarrassed by her.
CBS
Heather says they need to earn a living and protect her from Sharon. Their daughter is sick of moving.
Her mom assures her they won’t do anything rash. Lucy is sure they are punishing her again and storms off.
CBS
Heather wonders why Daniel didn’t back her up. He agrees with Lucy.
She suggests he’s letting his feelings are clouding his judgment. He accuses her of the same and doesn’t want to make their daughter feel any more isolated.
CBS
She throws him running away from his family in his face. He can’t handle that and storms out.
CBS
Heather sits and thinks for awhile before calling her daughter out.
She wants them to stop fighting and talk. She knows she’s not sharing how much she’s hurting with her and feels like she’s on the outside.

Lucy says moving won’t help. She needs space to make things right. They both worry their ways of fixing things could make them worse.
They hug.
CBS
Nick meets with Faith and Mariah at Society to check about Sharon. They say nothing unusual has happened.
CBS
She missed a doctor’s appointment and hasn’t been answering calls.
Mariah agrees they may have to step in if Sharon isn’t getting better. Nick says they need to get her the help she needs.
CBS
Faith worries they are making this a bigger deal than it is. Nick says there is too much to ignore.
Mariah backs this up. Nick offers to take the blame as they are wrong, but doing nothing would be worse.
CBS
He explains to Faith how hard the time was when Sharon was first diagnosed was. They need to have a talk with her about what’s happening and maybe a family therapy session.
Faith doubts her mom would hide anything but they remind her she may not be thinking clearly.
CBS
At home, Sharon tells Cameron to leave her alone. He urges her to take deep breaths and she accuses him of putting sick ideas in her head.
CBS
He reminds her of how different her life would be if Cassie was alive. She thinks dwelling on this is pointless.
CBS
He tells her the time for dwelling is done. Now it’s time to act.
Cameron tells her she’s hanging on by a thread and her kids can see she’s falling apart.
CBS
All she does is try to hide her pain. How long can she keep that up?
He tells her that they know the answer to this is inside of her. He’s there to give voice to what she really wants.
Sharon insists she “won’t do it” and he keeps suggesting her do “evil things” that won’t bring Cassie back.
CBS
He’s sure if it could do that, she would automatically agree.
He adds that this could help bring Nick back to her again. She thinks this is too extreme.
“You need to do this,” he pushes. It could ease her heartache and give her peace.
CBS
She wonders why she has to hear his voice, not Cassie’s. He says he’s the voice she needs to hear, the only one who can help her get back on track.
CBS
Declaring she won’t listen to more of this, she heads for the door. He’s still there and says there’s no getting rid of him.
After she leaves, Nick, Mariah and faith arrive, noticing the place is a dump.
CBS
Nick calls Sharon to leave a message and Faith wonders what’s happening to her mom.
They know how much she’s counted on her mom. Faith can’t handle anything being wrong with her.
CBS
Nick is sure they just need to love and support her.
Sharon goes to Crimson Lights and asks Esther for coffee. Esther tries to convince her to get herbal tea.
CBS
Sharon starts to lose it but Cameron asks her to dial it back a notch.
CBS
Calming down, Sharon apologizes and Esther offers to bring her tea on the patio.
When Sharon gets there, Cameron reminds her she needs to fly under the radar.
CBS
She repeats that what he’s been suggesting she do is repulsive. He reminds her it’s her idea.
Cameron adds this won’t be hard to pull off. She covers her ears.
CBS
He assures her that doing this will make her feel better.
When she yells at him to leave her alone, Esther is standing there. Sharon apologizes and says she needs some quiet time.
CBS
Once Esther is gone, Sharon checks her messages and drinks her tea.
Daniel arrives. Cameron urges Sharon not to blow this.
Nick calls Esther and asks after Sharon. She explains that Sharon is not herself and he asks her to keep her there.
Cameron tells Sharon to be careful because if she scares Daniel off, she might not get another chance.

Sharon walks over to Daniel and asks him to join her on the patio so she can clear up a few things.
